I want you!

What is the number one threat to the rights of young people in America today? The re-institution of the military draft. Recently, I was going on my merry way down the road when I saw a sign that hadn't been there before. It said "US Army now Recruiting". I turned to my friend and said "Hey you wanna join the army with me" he says "I'm good thanks". We both laughed but then he pointed out that I'll be old enough to be drafted in a short time. As I've thought about it, it becomes more and more frightening. When I went to the DMV to test for my permit they had both me and my Dad sign a form that said I was willing to be drafted. And I'm going to be straight with you, I nearly turned around and walked out that door. See I've been taught all my life, that when Uncle Sam calls your name, you turn around and get the hell out of there. It quite frankly gives me the heebie-jeebies that I could be forced to serve the governments war machine against my will. It sounds like something out of a Communist nightmare. But it's happened before and it could sure as heck happen again. Hundreds of thousands of young men were drafted and sent overseas in WWII. They were told they would have the honor of fighting for their country. They went and fought foot by foot to gain European soil back, for Europeans. They fought in a war that they should have been thousands of miles away from, and many of them died. If you like the thought of dying for someone elses perverted idea of a noble cause, then by all means stand by and watch. But if you desire above all else, your freedom, and freedom for your children. Fight. Fight the war that you want to fight. Or you will be fighting the war they want you to fight, and in that one there's a heck of a lot more to lose.

Six year old terroist...

Zachary Christie a six year old first grader in a Delaware public school faced up to 45 days in a reform school for bringing his favorite camping utensil to school.

Clearly now Cub Scouts are a threat to national security...I mean we can't have first graders running around carelessly eating lunch with sporks! This is an outrage.
Apparently when Delaware says zero tolerance they mean it. I don't think I want to live in a country where they suspend a six year olds for bringing his combination fork-knife-spoon to school. I mean, the kid thought he was covering all his bases! Unfortunately what happened to Zachary is not an isolated incident and points to an upward trend in Government control of our rights. Make no mistake if they take away Zach's spork, they'll take away our guns. The Constitution has come to mean less and less over the years and the Bush administration nearly nullified it. We need to stand up and fight for our second amendment rights (not to mention all the other ones they decided to take away) The case against Zachary was dropped thanks to the national media coverage it received and the indignation it aroused. Even though the government has failed, this shows that there are still some of us left in America with a scrap of human decency left. Please, the door is closing, we need to step inside before we get left out in the cold.

Nobel Fail!

Well, when they gave it to Al Gore we all groaned. Now they seem to have taken all of the meaning out of this so called "peace" prize. According to foxnews.com "The Norwegian Nobel Committee's deadline for nominations was February 1, just 11 days after Obama's inauguration." This means that Barack Obama was nominated for a Nobel Peace prize for doing...nothing? That is correct. Our president had not done anything but make promises (few of which have come about as of yet.) And furthermore these promises were inconclusive. Was the change good? Bad? Was he going to nuke Afghanistan? Oh who cares! Put him on the list, no one will think we're pandering! The Nobel Committee lauded Obama's time in office praising him for his: ""extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples," Well everyone knows it's the thought that counts! See Mother Teresa? All you had to do was try to start 610 missions in 123 countries. It's all about the effort! Apparently the Norwegians went insane from being cold all the time. Or maybe it's just a kiss up. Either way, they still made a really bad choice. Let's look at some of the other possibilities how about Ingrid Betancourt? (who was reportedly among the nominees)

"During the Colombian senator's 2002 presidential campaign, she was abducted by a marxist organization and held captive for six-and-a-half years. Since being rescued in July, 2008, she has been dubbed a “freedom fighter” and “symbol of hope.”"

Well gosh, she was just in a marxist prison for 6 years. Obama bailed out GM!

Or Dr. Denis Mukwege:

"Seeing pregnant women arrive at the hospital on a donkey and dying during childbirth encouraged Mukwege to study gynaecology and obstetrics. Noticing that so many women had been sexually abused, he later founded the Panzi hospital in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Hundreds of thousands of female sexual violence victims have been helped so far."

Come on! All the guys does is help sexually abused women! Pssh who cares! Mr. Obama clearly has him beat. I mean, "The buck stops with him!"

This prize no longer has any meaning. It's debatable whether it ever did since it was founded by a dynamite tycoon. That promotes peace! But that aside, seriously, would you mind giving it to someone who deserves it? Or at least someone who did something besides get elected!

DEA Fail!

Many of us know and love Dr. Gregory House. That handicapped, pill popping, narcissistic, brilliant Diagnostician. The DEA however does not Love Dr. House. For those of you who don't watch the show let me fill you in. House had a blood clot in his leg, this caused muscle failure. Now House's right thigh is virtually unusable and in constant pain. So he is constantly shown throughout the show, popping vicodin to relieve his suffering. His boss Dr. Cuddy and his friend Dr. Wilson both confront him on various occasions about his addiction. But a staple of House'e character throughout the show is that he does not change. His habit does not effect his work and he is brilliant despite his problems. This however was no good for our government. A quote from DoseNation says "The DEA has been writing letters to Fox complaining about House's "flagrant use and abuse of narcotics without consequence" (http://www.dosenation.com/listing.php?id=6678) The network has finally given in. They have allowed the government to control their actions and in doing so have given even our TV shows into the hands of these power hungry bureaucrats. Isn't there a flood or a war they need to be worrying about? Do we not have enough problems in the US to keep them busy? What about the failing economy? Maybe they should take a look at that. Oh yeah, we will! Right after a message from our sponsors.

And here my friends is another massive. Government Fail!

Year of Youth: Project 2012

You've heard of the Ron Paul Revolution and Students for Liberty. But maybe you haven't heard of the newest, freshest edition to the pantheon of freedom. This is Year of Youth: Project 2012. According to their mission statement in their press release:

"Year of Youth, Project 2012 has launched its new website to
help achieve its intended goal of at least 100 victorious youth campaigns for
state and local government offices across the United States in the year 2012."

These guys are serious too. They may be small but every one of these volunteers has dedication. In fact if you go to the application page on their website it instructs you to do a direct about face if you don't have it. Jared Fuller and Cristopher David Pille (co-founders of the project) have made it clear that they intend to achieve the goals they set. They don't expect to launch these campaigns out of no where, they lay out their plan quite clearly in the release:

"Year of Youth’s goal is to field a select number of youth candidates for
state and local offices in 2010 in order to measure the successes, failures,
and problems with running a completely youth driven campaign. Year of Youth
will then recruit, train, and mobilize hundreds of future youth candidates
across the United States in 2012."

They have set a very admirable goal and a realistic achievement schedule. If you have some time (or if you don't) I'd love it if you could check out their site @ http://www.yearofyouth.org/ they're a very worthwhile cause to support.

It's a small price we pay for liberty and if we will not pay it how can we expect it?

Government Fail!

Why would one entitle a blog "Government Fail!"? Well the answer is simple. And if you entered this blog for any other reason than because it's hilarious when someone fails at anything, you probably know the answer. Because the United States Federal Government has failed. In fact they failed quite some time ago. Clearly however the general populous has not noticed. In the past few years this has been changing. The Ron Paul Revolution swept the nation and clogged our internet connections. Offshoot group s like Young Americans for Liberty and Year of Youth have focused in on specific groups to get the youth of America excited. I have decided it's time to do my part. So I will relate in my upcoming posts, the ever-increasing tide of government caused disasters and catastrophes. They usurp our freedoms and destroy our rights. Yet we do nothing. My main point: to enrage the American people. To long we have sat complacently by while they (quite blatantly) invaded our privacy and destroyed our currency. Listen to the rally call of freedom. This is no joke ladies and gentlemen.
